How it works

In this section we will explain how Jxls works.

With Jxls you need to perform two main steps to get your Excel report done

  1. Define Excel transformation areas and commands
  2. Process areas using the provided context

Define Excel transformation areas and commands

XlsArea is a rectangular area in an Excel file. Each XlsArea may have a set of processing commands associated with it. An area may contain child areas. So it is possible to have a set of nested areas with specific commands related to each of them.
